Priyasakhi Mahila Sangh (PSMS), a non-governmental and non-profit organization, emphasizes Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as fundamental for sustainable community development. PSMS is committed to fostering positive social change, focusing on women's empowerment, community welfare, environmental conservation, and employee engagement aligned with the organization's values and mission.

Objectives:

  • Empowering Women: Strengthening socio-economic capabilities and providing skill development opportunities for women in marginalized communities across ten districts in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Community Welfare: Undertaking initiatives for healthcare, education, and economic development, promoting better living standards for the local community.
  • Environmental Conservation: Implementing programs for environmental sustainability within PSMS premises and the areas it serves, encouraging active involvement of stakeholders and employees.

CSR Activities:

  • Women Empowerment: Conducting skill-building workshops, vocational training, and entrepreneurship development programs for women and women's Self-Help Groups (SHGs) across the ten districts.

Implementation:

The management will oversee the implementation of CSR initiatives guided by the Corporate Social Responsibility Committee (CSR Committee) under the direction of the Board of Directors.

CSR Committee:

The Board will constitute a CSR Committee with a minimum of three members, including at least one independent director. The Committee will convene bi-annually, with a quorum of two members.

Committee Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, monitor, and recommend the CSR Policy to the Board.
  • Recommend necessary modifications to the CSR Policy.
  • Assess and recommend the expenditure on CSR activities.
  • Review and evaluate the impact of CSR initiatives.
  • Ensure proper disclosure of CSR matters.
  • Propose deployment strategies and outreach channels for CSR activities.

Role of the Board:

The Board will review and approve the annual CSR plan recommended by the CSR Committee, with the authority to make adjustments during the fiscal year based on the Committee's justifiable recommendations.

Policy Review:

The CSR Committee will regularly review the policy, incorporating regulatory amendments or necessary changes. Recommendations for modifications will be presented to the Board for approval.
